With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melba Buenviaje (New City, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 7, 2025 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Nieva and Nemesia Cuasay; and her sister Lita Cilindro. She is survived by: her children, Veverly Buenviaje and Von Buenviaje; her daughter-in-law Doris Perez Buenviaje; her grandchildren, Stephanie (California) and Kenneth (California); and her sisters, Violeta Saba (California), Edith Valenzuela (Canada), Josephine Jaime (Philippines) and Annie Espeleta (Philippines).
Viewing was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (321 S Main St, New City, NY 10956). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Joseph Church (245 N Main St, Spring Valley, NY 10977).
