Mary Cabrini Hughes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Cabrini Hughes of New City, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 31, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Mary Cabrini's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mary Cabrini has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Leahy and Mary Leahy. She is survived by: her husband Matthew J Hughes; her daughter Kathleen Hughes-Salvatorelli; and her son-in-law Louis Salvatorelli.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church (118 S Main St, New City, NY 10956).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
