It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Abbatecola of New City, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 27, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgilio Arietta and Jessie Cicatelli Arietta; her husband Vincent J. Abbatecola; and her siblings, Attilio, Alphonse, Florine Williamson, Jesse and Benito.
She is survived by: her children, Vincent P. Abbatecola (Bernadette) and Janet O'Toole (William); her grandchildren, Matthew O'Toole (Joanna), Annie Donovan (Patrick), Katie Economou (Andrew), Brian O'Toole (Lisa), Vincent Abbatecola and Michael Abbatecola; her great grandchildren, Erin Arietta O'Toole, Tara O'Toole, Ashley Economou and Kristina Economou; and her siblings, Vivian Reiglehoff, Bruno Arietta and Albina Miller. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID 19 concerns, restrictions will be in effect for the funeral home.
