He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Erts and Marie Sackett Erts; his wife Linda Erts (Crawford); his children, Kendra and Ryan; his siblings, Sharon Klos (John), Glenn Erts and L. Richard Erts (Brandy); his mother-in-law Gail Bullock; and his brother-in-law Kenny Bullock (Kim). He was also cherished by four nieces, one nephew, and three great-nieces.
