He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Oakley and Edith Bauder Oakley of Nelliston, NY.; his wife Alberta; his brother Stanley Oakley; and his sister-in-law Sheila Yeardon.

He is survived by: his brother Robert "Bud" Oakley of Fort Plain; his half-sister Carol Ann Seeley; his nephew Gordon Oakley (Diane) of Hagaman; his nieces, Jodi Burton (Jeff) of Mayfield, Kim Smith (Bernie) of St Johnsville, Cheryl Lamb (Gordon) of Caroga Lake and Lisa Priollo (Phil) of Saratoga; and his sister-in-law Simone Oakley.
