He was predeceased by: his father Robert W. Nelson, Sr.; his brothers, Robert W. Nelson, Jr. and Randy A. Nelson; and his nephew Jory. He is survived by: his mother Rhonda L. Nelson (Haviland) of East Nassau; his brother Raymond J. Nelson; his close friend Ron Monette; his sons, Rich Jr., Daniel and Austin; his nephew Jared; and his nieces, Kayla, Jenn, Jana and Asia.
