He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hourigan and Catherine Hourigan (Carmody); and his siblings, Billy Hourigan, Kathleen Hourigan and Roseann Jeffers.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hourigan; his children, Michael J. Hourigan Jr. (Kristen), John T. Hourigan (Carrie) of Schodack and Shelley Schoenberger (Neil) of St. Petersburg, FL; his siblings, Patrick Hourigan (Patty) of Colonie, Thomas J. Hourigan (Katherine) of Clifton Park, Mary Alice Kennedy of Albany and Maureen Adriance (Jack) of Colonie; his aunts and uncles, Pat Carmody and Donald Carmody; and his pet Hoppy. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
