She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Coons Jr.; and her parents, Henry E. Decker and Ethel Decker (Carknard). She is survived by: her son David A. Coons; her sister Lois M. Bult (late James); and her friends, Peter and Brenda Hacker. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in Katherine's memory may be made to the South Schodack Fire Co. Inc. 1563 Bame Road, Castleton, NY 12033.
