He was predeceased by: his parent John Sr.. He is survived by: his parent Dorothy Schuman; his wife Cheryl; his siblings, Nicholas Schuman (Bonnie), Robert Schuman, Linda File (Joel) and Ruth Bombard; and his stepdaughter Melissa McLeod (Mandrel). He is also survived by children but he is also survived by Jeff Watson "the boy", whom he loved like a son.

In lieu of flowers donations in John's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
