She was predeceased by: her parents, George Oakes and Elizabeth Barnard Oakes; and her brothers, Richard Oakes and Danny Oakes. She is survived by: her husband John B. Aptt, Sr.; her children, Linda Dawes of Sand Lake, Deborah Stockman (Michael) of East Schodack, John B. Aptt, Jr. (Robin) of Nassau and Mark Aptt of East Nassau; her grandchildren, Becky Dawes, Jennifer Aptt, Lindsay Goebel (Michael) and Elizabeth Stockman; and her great grandchildren, Geoffrey Dawes and Rylee Aptt. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and then great grandchildren.
