He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Leach and Irene Leach (Swartz); his children, Scott Michael and Patricia Fitzwater; his granddaughter Jillian Edgerton; and his sister Maxine Gillett.

He is survived by: his wife Marianne (King); his daughters, Rhona Northrop (Doug) and Jennifer Edgerton; his granddaughters, Brittany, Stephanie, Samantha, Chandra and Nichole; his siblings, Ruth Perkins, Robecka "Jeanne" Colf, Gary and Kenneth Leach (Thelma); and his pet Maya. He is also survived by his five great grandsons & five great granddaughters.
