He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Smith (Crance) and Charles Smith Sr.; and his significant other Cheryl Orvis. He is survived by: his children, Tammie Dean, John Smith II, Heather Smith, Jamie Rogers, Angel Smith and Duane Smith; his brothers, Charles Smith Jr. (Judy) and Edward Smith (Linda); his niece Erin Thompson (Bill); and his nephew Brian Smith (Deanna). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
