She was predeceased by: her father Antonio Gomez. She is survived by: her mother Mercedes Vercerra; her husband Rafael Castelar of Nanuet, NY.; her children, Monica (Gilbert Sr.), John (Julissa), Christabella (Robert Sr.), Jennifer (Harry III), Steve Sr. (Migdalia) and Heather (Victor); her grandchildren, Steven, Barbara (Oscar), Kaiulani, Steve Jr., Katelyn (Marcel), Victoria, Gilbert Jr. (Haley), Zamara, Robert Jr., Gabriel, Stefanie, Sophia, Brianna, Adrian and Maria; her great grandchildren, John, Elizabeth, Iris and Leilani; and her siblings, Betty (Carlos), Bando (Cecilia) and Azucena. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews that loved her like a mother.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.
