He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bender and Cora Bender (Mason). He is survived by: his children, David (Stacianne Bender), Dakota Bender and Christine Bender (Eric Winters) of Newark Valley; and his siblings, Joseph (Nancy Bender), Fredrick (Linda Bender), Kathleen Lamberton of Canastota, Betty Miller of Oneida, Theresa Gariepy of Georgia and Deborah Kneskern of Canastota. He is also survived by five grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
