Sandra D. Nelso Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 26, 2022, at the age of 73, Sandra D. Nelso of Mount Vernon, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her daughter Essence Atkins; her brother Leo Sifflet MD; and her grandson Varro Mendez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews.
A tough native New Yorker (she never learned how to drive) who, among other things, battled and beat two cancers during the early stages of the pandemic in 2020 for months with minimal help while Covid literally passed her over.
