We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2023, at the age of 88, Rocco Pallone (Mount Vernon, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Filippo and Maria; his wife Maria; his siblings, Loretta DiNota and Gaetano; his children, Mary Potenza (Michael) and Philip (Diane); and his grandchildren, Regina, Natalia, Maria Potenza, William Rocco, Cara and Jack Pallone.

Educating others was his lifelong passion and Professor Pallone remained an active educator well after his formal retirement from Fordham, teaching classes at Westchester Community College and tutoring students on a regular basis, including throughout the pandemic which required him to learn to teach through video chats well into his 80s.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Enrico Fermi Educational Foundation to support scholarships to students of Italian descent in Westchester. Donations can be made payable to Enrico Fermi Educational Fund of Yonkers with the memo: In Memory of Rocco Pallone.
