Louis P. Caragine M.D. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louis P. Caragine M. D. (Mount Vernon, New York), who passed away on February 15, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Caragine and Margaret Caragine; his wife Carol; and his children, Frank and Margaret (Cavalluzzi Caragine).

He is survived by: his children, Louis Caragine (Robyn), Theresa Caragine (Thomas Voutsas) and Maria Thompson (Chris); his grandchildren, Crystal, Cassandra, Nico, Carl, Matthew, Annie, Joseph, Massimo and Dante; and his brothers, Philip, Frank and Anthony.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home (584 Gramatan Ave, Mt Vernon, NY 10552). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sts. Peter & Paul-St. Ursula Church (129 E Birch St, Mt Vernon, NY 10552). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (95 Kings Hwy, New Rochelle, NY 10801).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Louis' name may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
