We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2022, at the age of 87, Joan Hopkins of Mount Vernon, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Margaret Mary (Timmons) and Harry Eugene Whittington; her brother-in-law Gene; her husband Jack; her son Robert; her granddaughter Courtney; her children, Margaret Burns (John) of Pelham, Richard (Claudia) of Skillman, NJ, James (Daria) of Yonkers, Edward (Amy) of Hampton, NH, William (Denise) of Pelham and Gene (Meghan) of Norwalk, CT; her daughter-in-law Una (Robert) of New Rochelle; and her nieces and nephews, Kelly, Schwarz and Whittington. She was also cherished by 20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to Calvary Hospital or Catholic Charities of New York in honor of Joan.
