He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilia DeMello and Manoel of Vasconcellos; and his brother Americo of Rio de Janeiro. He is survived by: his spouse Nair DeMello (Nina); his sister Lourdes of Oliveira; his children, Denise, Lou, Jorge and Michael; and his grandchildren, Lou DeMello and Mike DeMello. He is also survived by his family, friends.
