He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Day; his parents, Elmer Hoke and Irene Lowe (Moore); his brother Randall Lowe; and his niece Susan.
He is survived by: his children, Marianne (Alan Birdsall), Howard John (Sherry Hoke), Diane (Donnie Baker) and Ann (Paul Kelly); his grandchildren, Stacy, Heather, Ashley, Sarah, Trevor, Tyler, Steven, Cathy, Tom, Lori-An, Tara and Claire; his great grandchildren, Trenton, Anthony, Raegan, Maddyn, Mason, Hailey, Harper, Alicia, Chandra, Shelby and Hannah; and his brother Leo Hoke. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
