He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Higley and Dorothy Higley (Sabens); and his sisters, Dawn Bubar and Gertrude Jewett of Vermont. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Michael Higley, Alfred "Alfie" Higley Jr. (Chris) of Mt Tremper and Darlene Higley of Boiceville; his grandchildren, Elisabeth Higley of Cobleskill, Benjamin Rauschendorfer of Boiceville and Sara Rauschendorfer (John Harvey) of Pennington, NJ.; his pets, Windy and Raven; and his siblings, Curtis Higley of Northfield and Terrie Higley (Lisa Lovelette) of Waterbury Center, Vermont.. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ulster County SPCA, Family of Woodstock, Phoenicia Rotary Club, or other charitable organizations or animal rescue groups.
