He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Schimmenti; his wife Eileen; his sons, Frank Schimmenti, Randy Schimmenti (Lisa) and Michael Schimmenti; his stepchildren, Charles Grippaldi (Daniela) and Lauren Cifelli (Dominic); and his grandchildren, Frank Schimmenti, Skylar Schimmenti, Brianna Schimmenti, Madelyn Schimmenti, Victoria Vogel, Natalie Vogel, Charlie Grippaldi, Alexa Grippaldi, Joey Grippaldi, Anthomy Cifelli and Vincent Cifelli.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Goldcoast Down-Syndrome Foundation.
