In June of 2019, after a brief illness, he moved to East Stroudsburg, PA with Christine, still wanting to work, where he opened up a restaurant and bar that sadly closed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, He took his last breath with Christine holding his hand on the early morning of May 30, 2023.
He was an incredibly generous and helpful man, and often help others, especially women, start their own farms and he donated the organ to the Mount Sinai congregational church on N. Country Rd.
