He is survived by: his wife Donna McNeil Recore of Pittsboro, NC; his sons, Chad Recore (Kimberly) of Peru, NY and Craig Recore (Jennifer) of Vancouver, WA.; his brothers, James Recore Sr. (Shirley), Donald Recore (Dawn) and Andrew Recore (Starr); his sister-in-law Barbara Recore; his former wife Connie Blondo; and his pets, Matilda and Barney. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to Alzheimer's Assistance Center at Sibley Hall, Plattsburgh State University or FoldsofHonor.org in Herb's name.
