She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sherman Hamel and Donna Hamel (DiStefano); her grandmother Mia; her husband Mark Kiroy; her sons, Brandon (Kirstie Miller), Connor (Sarah Tisdale), Alex Christman, Garrett and Mason Kiroy; her grandson Greyson Kiroy; her siblings, Kristen Rougeau (Glenn Whitney) and Kevin Hamel (Ryan); her niece Taylor Hamel (Alan Devins); her parents-in-law, William and Vivian Kiroy; her brothers-in-law, Colby (Nicole), Geoffrey (Brittany Conant), Luke (Kyrsten) and Eryn; her grandparents, Richard, Antoinetta DiStefano, Robert and Beatrice Hamel; and her great-grandparent Madeline. She was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country or the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
