He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Buffett and Anita Buffett (Rascoe); his pets, Sammie, Kloey of Morrisonville, NY and Buttons; his brother Philip Buffett; and his sons, John and Carl Buffett.

He is survived by: his wife Angela Buffett (Abbruzzi); his children, Janet Buffett Peterson of Las Vegas, Karen Buffett Smith (Randal) of Plattsburgh, NY and Neil Philip Buffett (Jeanmarie) of Long Island, NY; his stepchildren, Tara of Plattsburgh, NY, Tawnya Hanson of Plattsburgh, NY and Anthony Hanson (Sheila) of Clifton Park, NY; and his great grandchild Kaizley Alizabeth Reeves. He is also survived by twenty grand-children; thirty great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made for Masses in his memory or Hospice of the North Country.
