She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward L. Atkins and Ione L. Bingham Atkins; her husband Jack B. Smith; her daughter Sharon Fiorille; and her granddaughter Jennifer Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Will Smith of Schenectady and Roma Morris (Ray "Toad") of Moravia. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
