He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Stevenson; and his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Florence (Gottschall). He is survived by: his sons, John Holt and Joe Stevenson; his daughter-in-law Sydney Stevenson; and his grandchildren, Brent and Mackenzie Stevenson.
