She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Smith and Alma Smith (Ackley); and her son Anthony Zafonte. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Mumford, Kenneth Burgess, Cathy Thompson, Tina Zafonte, David Zafonte (Linda), James Zafonte, Vincent Zafonte, Christopher Zafonte, Theresa Snow (Jeremiah) and Mary Aleshevich (Randy); and her brother Bert Smith (Carol). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
