He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Buckles Sr. and Lucille McGuire Buckles; and his sister Norine Michel of Grahamsville, NY. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Stainbrook Buckles; his children, Robin Buckles of Monticello, Robert Buckles (Daniella) of Rock Hil, Brent Buckles (Georgia) of Ocean View, DE and Susan Buckles of Syracuse; and his nieces, Karen Michel of Grahamsville and Kathy Moore of Liberty. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County for their loving and compassionate care and ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice http://www.hospiceoforange.com, or to St. Peters Church in Monticello.
