He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gregory and Mary Gregory; and his siblings, William, George, Edward and Florence.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Kestler; his children, Karen (Frank), Richard (Kathryn), Teresa (William) and Lisa; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Jesse), Lorraine (Michael), Matthew (Patricia), Gregory, Brittany, Courtney and Gabrielle; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Kelsey, Madison, Amelia, Ronin and Alina. He is also survived by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the VanInwegen Kenny Funeral Home (401 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of Monticello, Presbyterian (11 Jones St, Monticello, NY 12701).
