With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca L. Mitchell of Monticello, New York, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 6, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Benjamin Drayton Sr. and Lillie Mae McNealy Drayton; her siblings, Robert McNealy and Mary Drayton; and her son Kareem Mitchell.

She is survived by: her children, Vanetta Lane (George), Damon Mitchell Sr. and Jada Mitchell; and her siblings, Virginia McDowell, Benjamin Drayton Jr., James Drayton, Frank Drayton and Ledora Drayton. She is also survived by 18 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren.

Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the church, and facemasks are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bethlehem Temple Church.
