It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Thompson (Monticello, New York), born in McWilliams, Alabama, who passed away on November 18, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Andrew Lymon; her son Elvin Jake Valree Jr.; and her siblings, Annie, Cora, Queen, Rascoe and London.
She is survived by: her parent Mary Rodgers Lymon; her children, Mary (Nathan), Jimmy (Barbara), Christiana (Jimmie) of Monticello, Fannie (Jessie) of Chattanooga, TN, Roosevelt of Atlanta, Tommie of Alabama, Pastor Fred Thomas Joseph, Alli Merchant and John Merchant; and her goddaughter Carolyn Merchant. She is also survived by great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family.
