William Stap Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Stap of Montgomery, New York, who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stap and Alice Stap (Maas); his siblings, John Stap of Maryland and Janet Terhune of New Jersey; his son John Stap; and his granddaughter Melissa Wilson.
He is survived by: his spouse Claire Vandersea; and his children, Mark Stap (Darlene), Nancy Wilson, Jim Stap (Kerry), Robert Stap (Stacey), Joan Mossbarger (Dave) and Joyce Amels (Jim). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Millspaugh Funeral Directors (22 Bank St, Walden, NY 12586). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Goshen Christian Reformed Church (2440 NY-17A, Goshen, NY 10924).
