He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Nelson and Katherine Nelson; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Steven Nelson (Charlotte) of Simsbury, CT, Carol Nelson Falcone of New Paltz, NY, Robert Nelson (Yvonne) of Chappaqua, NY and Amy Nelson Roepe of Gardiner, NY; his grandchildren, Tara, Jamie, Thomas, Christopher, Zoe, Lucca, Fiona, Chaeli, Naomi and Caleb; his great grandchildren, Maliyah, Kamaya and Maxwell; his sister Patricia Samler of Villages, FL; his siblings-in-law, Chris Nelson of Villages, FL and Wayne Morrissey (Diane) of West Milford, NJ; and his cousins, Billy, Barbara Reilly of Ringwood, NJ, Ken and Diane Reilly of Ramsey, NJ.
