He was predeceased by: his son William Mateo. He is survived by: his significant other Ana D. Robles; his children, Margarita Negron (Saul Negron) of Montgomery, Betty Cruz (Jose A. Cruz), David Mateo (Maribeth Mateo) and Yolanda Velasquez; and his daughter-in-law Rowena Mateo. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
