With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen G. Groen of Montgomery, New York, born in Middletown, New York, who passed away on January 7, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Heindrich Groen; her daughter Robin Smith; her brother George Cudney; and her grandson William Schoonmaker. She is survived by: her children, Robert Knapp (Yvonne) of Tennessee, Lillian Schoonmaker (William) of Middletown, Barbara Grzywaczewski of Montgomery, Douglas Knapp (Sue) of Campbell Hall, N. Y., Richard Knapp (Barbara) and Carol LeBarron (Roger) of Montgomery; and her son-in-law Brian Smith. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
