He was predeceased by: his son Matthew Varley; and his brother Edward Varley. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Maher; his children, Brian Varley (Jeanne), Elizabeth Elser (Robert), Coleen Bahrs (John), Jeanne Varley (Paul) and Kevin Varley (Kathleen); and his grandchildren, Jamison, Gabrielle, Thomas, Michael, Sophia, Fiona and Seamus.
