She was predeceased by: her husband John Ygartua; her parents, Carlos Pietri and Lorenza Masini; and her siblings, Elba Trillas, Edith Sanchis, Lydia Espejo, Hilda Herdman, Virginia Essig and Carlos Pietri.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Ygartua of Chester, Laurie Miccio (Joseph) of Walden and Carlos Ygartua (Douglas Sanders) of Manhattan; her grandchildren, Daniel Miccio (Alyssa Kulibaba) of Hopewell Junction and Emily Miccio (William Gipe) of Beacon; her sister Mary LaPierre of Gorham, N. H.; and her uncle Jose Masini of San Juan, P. R.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and great nieces.
Clara Virginia Ygartua, a beloved mother of three and a longtime resident of Montgomery, N. Y., died at 98 on April 10 from complications brought on by the coronavirus.
