He is survived by: his wife Linda McDonald Carey; his sons, William Carey Jr., Scott Carey (Lisa) and Mark Carey (Julie); his grandchildren, Anthony, Nicole, Adam, Cassie and Rachel; and his siblings, Marilyn Axton, Nancy Glimpse and Douglas Carey Jr..
