He is survived by: his sons, Wilfredo Vargas, Jr. (Daisy) of Bronx, NY, William Vargas (Pauline) of Bronx, NY, David Vargas of Manhattan, NY and Daniel Vargas (Barbara) of Central Valley, NY; his brothers, Herman Vargas of Texas and Jose Antonio Vargas of California; his grandchildren, Liane, Ariel, Christine, Daniel Jr., Evan and Rebecca; and his great grandchildren, Celina, Kaleb, Aliana, Laila and Isabella.
