“Victor and I were friends in grade school. Our parents let us take a big adventure to Cross County Center to buy matchbox cars. We both liked them. We spent all of our money on the cars, forgetting we needed money for the bus home. The vendor was kind enough to later take back one of the cars and we were able to get our bus back home to the Bronx. I never forget about that. We later moved to Connecticut. Sorry for your families’ loss.”
