He is survived by: his wife Alma Martinez Aponte; his sons, Michael Aponte of Newburgh, NY and Christopher Aponte (Anita) of High Bridge, NJ; his brother Ruben Aponte of Oldsmar, FL; his nephew Ruben Aponte Jr.; and his grandchildren, Destini Jade, Christian, Ariella and Ayden.
