He was predeceased by: his parent William E.; and his brother Captain William McGinn. He is survived by: his parent Joan A. Romer McGinn; his wife Bernadette McGinn; his son Abraham McGinn of Monroe, NY; and his sisters, Susan Bradley, Maureen DeAngelo, Shelia McGinn and Ellen McGinn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
