He is survived by: his mother Debra Salthouse; his brothers, Teddy Salthouse and Rick Salthouse; his sister-in-law Sarah Salthouse; his niece Violet Salthouse; his aunt Lorraine Weidner (John Weidner); his uncle Ralph Milito (Lori Milito); his cousin Jessica Zozzaro (Philliip Zozzaro); and also, Benjamin, Julia, Abigail Zozzaro, John Weider (Rachelle Mercado), Caleb Weidner, Matthew Weidner (Kristen), Tyler, Sienna, Jayce Weidner, Madison Milito and Spencer Milito.

Donations may be made in Joe's name to the American Diabetes Association, or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
