Survived by his wife Jean (Arbore) Camelio; children Lorraine (Dr. Gerald) Ponticello, Frances (Mark) Bailey, Robert Sr. (MaryAnn) Camelio, Jean (Robert) Fox, Dan Sr. (Deborah) Camelio, Frank Jr. (MaryLou) Camelio & Margaret (Mike) Miller; 14 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; brothers Dr. Albert (Anne) Camelio & Joseph Camelio; sister-in-law Helen Camelio; brother-in-law Richard (Sarah) Pettifer; several nieces & nephews.
History Frank Camelio was born on October 7, 1914 to Cosmo and Marie Camelio. He had eight bothers and sisters, and is survived by his brothers Dr Albert and Joe Camelio. He served his country in WWII as a Mess Sergeant and was an active member of the Democratic party in the 15th Ward. As a business entrepreneur he owned and operated Camelio Circle Market, Braemar Country Club, Camelio Insurance and Westside News.
He retired as an employee of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. Frank was an avid sportsman, highly competitive in bowling and golf holding many records in Monroe County. He also owned several racehorses, which brought much joy to his life. Later in life he found joy in the simpler things. He loved yelling out Bingo as often as possible, playing gin, watching TV and baseball.
He also loved a great dish of spaghetti! Frank lived life to the fullest and will be remembered for all his special qualities and warm smile. His memory will live on through his seven children, fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Donations
