It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Richard G. McCarthy of Monroe, New York, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 11, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. McCarthy and Katherine Veronica McCarthy; his former wife Rosemary Coakley; his siblings, Carolyn, James, William and John; and his granddaughter Hope.
He is survived by: his son Michael; his wife Aileen of Monroe; his son Rev. Terrence (Susan McCarthy); his grandson Luke of Gettysburg, PA; his daughter Colleen Whren (George); his grandchildren, Aedan and Rosemary of Monroe, NY; his stepdaughter Cheryl Davis (Peter Chletsos) of Monroe; his grandson Kevin (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Mason, Demi of Highland Mills, NY and Kevin Watson (Donna); his grandchildren, Daniel, K. J. of Highland Mills, NY, Scott Watson (Susan) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jocelyn (Dylan Dewey) and Jordan of Charlton, SC.; and his sister Joan Cave (George) of Silver Springs, MD. He is also survived by ten beautiful grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
