He was predeceased by: his wife Sophie Ampel. He is survived by: his daughter Karen (James Knox); his son-in-law James; his children, Glenn (Randi Metsch-Ampel), Terri (Mitchell Kayden) and Allen (Kathleen Ampel); his grandchildren, Dylan Metsch-Ampel, Elana (CJ Anderson), Joshua, Jacob Kayden, Emily, Samantha and Allie Ampel; and his sister Ruth Goldstein.
