Anne" Dailey passed away Thursday afternoon, after a brief illness with her son Dana by her side. She was approaching her 96th birthday. The daughter of Adam and Mary DeFrancesco Monti, she was born August 6, 1922 in the city of Manhattan, NY. Anne married the late William Dailey Nov. 17th 1951 in the Bronx, her husband of 43 years. Anne travelled the world accompanied by her son Dana, but especially treasured her many visits to Hawaii. Retired from her position of over 18 years, as a Teacher's Aide at the North Main Street School in Monroe, where she made many close friends. She loved working and joking with the children so much that she was the founder of the North Main "lunchtime open mike" club where she was constantly amazed by the talents of her many junior comedians. Anne spent her life always looking for the humor in a situation and believed that you should accept people for who they are. She was a devoted member of St. Anastasia Church of Harriman, NY where she was very fond of Father Mike. Anne was predeceased by her older brother Emil Monti and younger brother Adam Monti. She is survived by her loving son Dana P. Dailey of Monroe, NY and several nieces, nephews and close friends. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17th at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY 10950. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18th at St. Anastasia Parish Church, Route 17M, Harriman, NY. Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery, Harriman, NY.
