She was predeceased by: her parents, Istuan Balla and Ilona Balla (Unyi). She is survived by: her spouse Bela Hormann; her daughter Cristina Dorney-Zelensky (John) of Hopewell Junction; and her grandson Michael Dorney of Hopewell Junction.

Donations may be made in memory of Elizabeth to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Dutchess County SPCA, or Hudson Valley Hospice.
